Epilepsy Foundation Art Auction
I'm really honoured to have been asked by the Epilepsy Foundation to participate in their art auction. My painting will be amongst some of my favourite contemporary Australian painters, if you don't know the work of these inspiring women, you should check them out. Some of them I came across while I was assisting at Platform72 so I know their work having wrapped and unwrapped it, and written bio's for it. ...In otherwords, I can fully attest to the awesomness (Hehe).
Anyhoo, I've started a new painting for the Auction (above), which has to have at least a little purple on it, which is to do with the 'Purple Day' theme..purple day being the purple ribbon day for Epilepsy awareness. It's developing in the veign of my Tahitian Convicts paintings, although the style has morphed a bit, with a different palette, and slightly different techniques and details. Here is a little in progress sneak peak, very early in the piece, who knows where it will end up. I don't think I'll show the final painting till the Auction.
I'd love some feedback, so go ahead and shoot....
Anyway my lovelies, have a fabulous festive season, eat lots, be merry, enjoy your people, and if you don't have any, go find an orphans Christmas. There's always a way to find merry (I spent Christmas day in a plane once), you just have to make the effort. I'm going to a choral service on Christmas eve, not so much because of religion, I just like the tradition, and the singing. And Christmas day, well, there should be lots of trampoline bouncing, food eating, and enjoying the delight of a 4year old at Christmas.
Merry Christmas. xx
