#Artforepilepsy Auction starts today
Bigpela Kala : liklik wait pikinnini is a painting I contributed to the #artforepilepsy auction with the Epilepsy foundation. The auction starts today and there are some fantastic artists involved so you should head over and take a look.
Bigpela Kala: Liklik wait pikinnini meri translates roughly to Big Colour: Little White Girl, which pretty much sums up my early childhood in PNG and has influenced my world view. This is also where my headspace is at these days -- I'm still the white girl surrounded by all this amazing colour.
A while back I painted 'Chardi Kala' (Relentless Optimism) which was my response to all the global politics in the world right now - my sense that that is the only position I can take in the context of all the crazy. We must remain Relentlessly optimistic.
Bipela Kala continues that perspective by celebrating all the colour and the diversity in the world. All the beautiful people and landscapes.
