‘Of drought, fires and flooding rains’ is an original abstract landscape on paper by Andrea Hamann.

This work on paper was painted in February 2020, at the tail end of the catastrophic summer of fires, when the rains finally came. The painting catches the moment when the flooding rains finally come after a drought. The title is a variation of the famous stanza in Dorothea Mackeller’s classic ode to country.

24x30cm on 300gsm hot press Fabriano paper. Signed and painted in 2020. This painting is sold unframed and un mounted.
