“Mountain Sedgeland” is is inspired by all the bushwalks through high sedgelands in the mountains, where small flowers are found in amongst shrubs and sedges, and remnant ice and snow. These are part botanical ink drawings, part mountains and part mixed media abstracts. This series of work represents a feeling more than anything, one of both freedom and safety and the bracing feeling of fresh mountain air. Memories of feeling alive in the high plains.
