‘Aftermath’ is an original landscape painting by Andrea Hamann. Aftermath was painted after spending a week documenting and preparing reports for removal of burnt and hazardous trees along roadsides in the southern highlands. This painting is a depiction of the aftermath of the fury of the fire, the contract of the burnt landscape against the brilliant clear sky when the smoke finally cleared was striking, and beautiful in it’s devastation.

This painting is one of many that have been part of coming to terms with the fury of the summer that was, the 2019-20 fire season.

Acrylic and ink on 210gsm paper. 40x29cm. This painting is shipped unmounted and unframed. Framing can be arranged.
