I've been inspired by the white tern's roosting at 100 acres, and by the many artists, including Kirstie Elson, who paint on driftwood. So I had a crack at painting one on driftwood. It's the first time I've painted a bird, despite having invented/drawn a few with ink and pastel. I really enjoyed it, and will probably try and do more. 

Meanwhile, Christmas was lovely....but more about that later.
